The Ontario Electricity Support Program, designed and implemented by the Ontario Energy Board, will came into effect on January 1, 2016.

Under most circumstances, the OESP credit will be applied to customer bills for two years. After two years, customers will need to reapply to continue receiving the credit. Once a customer has reapplied, the amount of their OESP credit may go up or down, or stay the same depending on if and how their financial and/or living conditions have changed.
Moving? If so, you will need to reapply to the OESP after you move to continue receiving the credit.
